The LMIA is a private and unincorporated association that was setup in 2022.
Our goal is to provide a free online photographic library of musical instruments as well as a directory of instrument makers.
This resource is intended for research and educational purposes only.
Photographs depicted on this website are supplied by the owners of the instruments and are used with their express permission.
Rights to all images remain with their respective owners.
The administrators of this site will endeavour to vet all submissions and confirm attributions of instruments before adding them to the library.
Please notify the administrators of any errors or omissions that you spot on the site.
If you believe an instrument that you own is listed on this website without your permission, please contact info@lmia.org.uk
Regarding submissions to the Instrument Library:
You must be the owner, or have permission from the owner of the instrument(s) you are trying to submit for them to be uploaded to the site.
We will block all future submissions from users found to be uploading photographs / information on instruments they do not own.
